The National Museum Complex "Moldova" Iași – Museum of Art invites the public to the Palace of Culture, starting October 26, 2024, to enjoy a long-awaited exhibition event. This occasion is anticipated by both specialists in the field and the general public, who appreciate beauty: the inauguration of the European Art Gallery.

This event celebrates 164 years since the establishment of the first art museum in the Romanian Principalities: the Iași Pinacoteca, inaugurated on October 26, 1860. Additionally, it serves as a tribute to the personalities who contributed to the founding of the Museum of Art in Iași, enriching it with remarkable works of art.

The works currently displayed in the Museum of Art have received the careful attention and expertise of conservation and restoration specialists from both the Iași Research and Conservation Center for Cultural Heritage and the Brukenthal National Museum in Sibiu, as well as the “Iulian Antonescu” Museum Complex in Bacău.
